Marathon Training Week 7

This is the last long run of my marathon training. Today the windy was chilly but the sunshine feels so good on your skin. My feet are feeling very fatigued today. I didn’t heed my own advice and taper the KMs on the last two weeks. I made the mistake of running to far a distance today. My feet are tired and sore. I need to rest my legs for the rest of the week. Might do one last quick run in the middle of the week but that is about it.

I always seem to forget the importance of rest. I just enjoy running so much I just kept going today. Ran 18.9km today and by the last 5km my ankles were feeling the fatigue. It has been a great 7 weeks of training. Having the goal of completing a marathon race was great for managing my anxiety. I was really determined throughout my training to keep going to reach my goal. One more week and it’s race day, I’m so excited.
